The options are limitless with these Individual Charcuterie Cups. Grab some plastic cups and load them up with meat, cheese, fruit and all sorts of garnishes. Perfect for holidays and game day!

Charcuterie cups built in small clear plastic cups, made with salami, ham, cheeses, fresh and dried fruit, breadsticks and herbs.

“I made these for a potluck and they were a huge success. I brushed the bottom of the cups with a little fig jam and added touch of high quality mustard on them after they were constructed. Delicious!”

DIY Charcuterie Cups: A Single Serve Charcuterie Board

All the way from a Thanksgiving board to a charcuterie chalet and many stops in between, there’s no denying that this time of year is perfect for as many unique charcuterie board ideas as you can dream up.

Whether you’re entertaining a crowd or just having some snacks at home, this type of food is probably at its most popular during the holidays, but is a great idea for a gathering any time of year (bridal and baby showers, in particular).

I’ve made charcuterie cups for a ton of get-togethers, and below I’m sharing all of the tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way, as well as recommendations for the best things to include in your cups.

Why You’ll Love These Individual Charcuterie Cups

  • Super customizable, so it’s easy to tailor each cup to suit dietary preferences. If you have one guest with an allergy, you can set aside a safe cup just for them.
  • No need for plates or utensils, making cleanup after your party a breeze.
  • You can build the cups with most of the elements up to a day in advance, allowing you more time to focus on other preparations for your party.

These award-winning Korean Meatballs are sweet, spicy and so flavorful! Serve them over rice for dinner, or as an irresistible appetizer.

Korean meatballs glazed with a deep red sauce on a textured baking pan, garnished with sliced green onions and white sesame seeds.

These gochujang meatballs are award winning!

This Korean meatballs recipe is an oldie but a goodie. Since it was first published in 2013, over 60,000 people have visited this site for the recipe, and many more have gotten it from Food 52, where it was chosen as the winner of their “Best Spicy Recipe” contest.

The editors offered a few notes from the Test Kitchen explaining why it was chosen, and I think they’ve said it better than I could:

”If you’re looking to impress a crowd (or just want a fun snack/appetizer to make), look no further than these gochujang meatballs. They are our new favorite cocktail party appetizer, with a kick of spice to keep things interesting.”

The glaze really puts these meatballs over the top flavor-wise. It features apricot preserves, gochujang, of course, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. Just cook for about 5 minutes to thicken, and the glaze is ready to go.“

“We promise that whomever you serve these meatballs to are going to absolutely devour them!“

Why You’ll Love This Korean Meatballs Recipe

  • These are great for entertaining! Keep them warm in a low crockpot for hours.
  • While beef if used in the recipe card below, you can easily substitute ground pork, chicken or even turkey, depending on your preference.

This Apple Rose Tart with Peanut Butter Custard is a showstopping, delicious dessert that YOU can make at home, even if you’re not a baker or pastry person. Promise!

Rectangular tart topped with apple "roses" on vintage baking pan with bowl of peanut butter and powdered sugar sifter.

If the first thing you think when you look at this apple tart is “there’s no way I can make that,” think again. Seriously, I’m SO not a baker or a “pastry person”.

I’m MUCH more comfortable with savory things like salmon pasta or lasagna recipe cottage cheese. There’s a reason 98% of the recipes on this blog are for savory foods or cocktails.

In fact, TRUE STORY: in culinary school, the pastry instructor forced me to BUY one of the cakes I made in class and take it home because it was so ugly.

Chef said my cake was so messed up that he couldn’t sell it at the school’s bake shop, so I would have to purchase it myself. Talk about embarrassing. I couldn’t wait to get out of that class and into a savory rotation.

So yeah, when I say I’m not a baker or pastry person, I mean it (although I can whip up a mean batch of Thanksgiving Rice Krispies treats). Since that experience, I’ve been on a mission to create beautiful, delicious things that are actually attainable for home cooks.

My frozen yogurt pie, cranberry curd pie and coconut creme brulee are some of my favorite examples, along with the apple rose dessert I’m sharing today.

So, stir up an apple cider mule, and let’s walk through this Apple Rose Tart with Peanut Butter Custard, element by element. We’ve got this.

These strawberry Moscow mules have just 5 ingredients and take just 5 minutes to prepare. It’s the most refreshing cocktail for a hot summer afternoon!

Hammered copper mug filled with strawberry Moscow mule, garnished with a skewer with a strawberry and lime wedge.

Fresh strawberry season is short but sweet here in Michigan. Some years I’m able to get out and pick my own, but if not, I’m always sure to pick some up at the farmer’s market.

Aside from making my dad his favorite strawberry pie for his birthday, I’m sure to buy enough berries for salads, snacking, smoothies, and everything in between.

Everything in between meaning drinks, I guess! For an adults-only gathering, nothing refreshes quite like a Moscow mule.

My ultimate goal is to make a mule for all seasons! I have a apple cider mule for fall, a grapefruit mule for winter, and a Kentucky mule that is perfect pretty much year ’round.

Today, I’m bringing you this strawberry Moscow mule recipe perfect for any summer day.

Why you’ll love this Strawberry Mule Recipe

  • The combination of fresh strawberries, strawberries preserves, lime juice and ginger beer make this one of the most refreshing cocktails possible for the warm summer months.
  • This recipe allows you to take advantage of peak strawberry season and savor the flavor of ripe, sweet strawberries in a drink.
  • It’s also a very versatile recipe, and you can substitute raspberries or blackberries when those are more available!

These sweet and savory Prosciutto & Cheese Pinwheels are made with just five ingredients. They're elegant without being fussy, and everybody will love them! | foxeslovelemons.com

I’m a big believer in the theory that holiday appetizers should be as simple and involve as few ingredients as possible.

After all, there’s already so much to do during the season – wrapping gifts, making a charcuterie chalet, traveling to see family, making sure everybody has a full drink (if you’re hosting), and probably getting the main course on the table at some point.

One of my favorite easy homemade appetizers (aside from jarcuterie!) is sweet and savory puff pastry pinwheels.

With just five ingredients, these Prosciutto & Cheese Pinwheels are elegant without being fussy, and trust me, everybody will love them. They’re even kind of Christmas colors!

Roasted Turkey with Bourbon Apricot Glaze - Jazz up a classic roasted turkey with this simple glaze that gets brushed on when the bird comes out of the oven! | foxeslovelemons.com

I’ll remember 2015 for many reasons. Lots of new nephews were born this year. We bought a new house this year. We renovated the house’s kitchen this year. And, I cooked a faux Thanksgiving dinner in an Airbnb this year.

If you’ve been following the #FLLdreamkitchen hashtag on Instagram, you’re aware that the most recent step in the renovation was refinishing the floors throughout the majority of our first floor.

The floors needed to be patched where the wall between the kitchen and dining room used to stand, and until they were refinished, you’d always be able to see the patch job.

So, last week seemed as good of time as any to ship out and just get the refinishing done with.

Ham & Mozzarella Sticks with Raspberry-Dijon Dipping Sauce - The appetizer version of a Monte Cristo sandwich! Gooey cheesy and ham sticks dipped in spicy-sweet sauce. Make two, or enough for a crowd! | foxeslovelemons.com

Weird fact about me – I was totally skeeved out by string cheese until about a year ago. While most kids at my elementary school would open their lunchboxes and tear into the string cheese first, little Lori sat there cheese stick-less. Mind you, I don’t think it’s because my mom refused to buy it or anything like that.

If my memory serves, I had one bite of string cheese from a friend’s lunch one time, and was immediately disgusted by it. Looking back on it now, I think it had gone bad. And really, when your first bite of something is spoiled, why would you try again?
