By: Susan https://foxeslovelemons.com/mocha-banana-breakfast-smoothie/comment-page-1/#comment-171087 Sat, 03 Feb 2024 16:17:17 +0000 https://foxeslovelemons.com/?p=2338#comment-171087 Hi Lori, I tried this today for breakfast as a warm smoothie, and will have to play with it because it came out too thick.  I used 2 cups of soy milk, ½ cup oats, 2T almond butter,  and 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder.   The rest was as the recipe was written.  In the future I would omit the nut butter and make sure the oat measure was scant.  I ran my high speed blender on the soup cycle for 4 minutes.  Apart from being too thick, It was very nice.  I’ll definitely try it again.  I would also probably omit the yogurt when I do.

Omit the banana, add 2 tablespoons of almond butter, and use the blender soup cycle (on my blender that runs for 3 minutes, to which I add one more minute).  You might want to add another half cup of milk.    I have this on my menu for when I get back to cooking next week, and I’ll let you know what I do and how it turns out.
