Chips Ahoy cookies are going gluten free. On Monday, the brand announced their first-ever certified gluten free cookie offering, Chips Ahoy! Gluten Free. The new cookie is a permanent addition to the Chips Ahoy lineup and is set to hit store shelves nationwide this month.

According to the brand, the new Chips Ahoy! Gluten Free was no simple undertaking to create. The brand says that it took years to create the recipe, with more than 40 recipes developed and over 3000 hours spent on the product before finding the one that would recreate the brand's iconic taste and texture, just without the gluten.

"When we set out to create our first Chips Ahoy! Gluten Free cookie, we didn't want it to be a good gluten free cookie, we wanted it to be a great cookie that's also gluten free," Jainette Quinones, Brand Manager Chips Ahoy! Innovation said in a press release. "I am proud to say that our innovation team has succeeded. The new Chips Ahoy! Gluten Free cookie is an absolutely delicious cookie that everyone can enjoy."

Oreo Debuted Gluten Free Cookies in 2023

Chips Ahoy is just the latest iconic cookie to get a gluten free option. In 2021, Oreo launched their iconic cookie in a gluten free form, then followed that up in January 2023 with the arrival of Oreo Gluten Free Mint cookies, also a permanent offering in the cookie lineup. They are described as "a tasty new spin on the classic treat, and just as dunkable, Oreo Gluten Free Mint Chocolate Sandwich Cookies are made with real cocoa and a blend of gluten free flour."

As was noted above, the new Chips Ahoy! Gluten Free cookies are rolling out to store shelves nationwide this month. They are a permanent addition to the Chips Ahoy cookie lineup.

Even Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy is willing to admit that the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn't what it once was.

"You'd have to live under a rock not to know that the last few Marvel movies have failed to ignite the world in the way that so many did," Levy says in the latest issue of Empire Magazine. However, Levy wasn't throwing shade at the MCU so much as trying to explain the challenge (and lofty fan expectations) that Deadpool & Wolverine needs to meet: Not just delivering another successful Deadpool movie, but also rekindling hype for the MCU franchise as a whole.

"We do come along at an interesting time," Levy said. "And we are decidedly something different. Whether it is of Messianic proportions, time will tell."

Like everything in Deadpool's world, the idea of Deadpool & Wolverine being the 'MCU's savior' is a notion that the film is having some meta fun with. In one scene, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool outright declares himself to be "Marvel Jesus," and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige had to admit, there's a kernel of truth in that joke: "Some of the lines that Ryan and his writers and Shawn worked on have taken on more of a meaning."

Feige found himself inundated with MCU content production as the 2020s began under the new leadership of Disney's former CEO Bob Chapek. Now that Chapek is out and Bob Iger is back at the head of the company, Disney is committing to producing less MCU content every year - something Feige is grateful for.

It's nice to be able to rally behind one feature project this year. I'm much more comfortable being the underdog. I prefer being able to surprise and exceed expectations. So it does seem like the last year, which has not been ideal, has set us up well for that."

What Is Deadpool & Wolverine About?

The trailer and early synopsis for Deadpool & Wolverine have teased the story of Wade Wilson (Reynolds) being detained by the TVA and sent on a mission. Wade recruits an emotionally-broken Wolverine variant from a dark timeline where the X-Men died, and their mission takes them to the multiversal wasteland the TVA has been using as a dumping ground, and where the beast Alioth (as seen in Loki) roams. Somewhere in that mix is Cassandra Nova (Emma Corin), a villain with deep ties to Charles Xavier, and a malevolent history in X-Men comics.

There have been teases of former Fox-Marvel movie stars coming back en masse for cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine - and even mega-star Taylor Swift appearing in the film as an iconic X-Men character. Despite there being a menagerie of cameos appearances expected in Deadpool 3, Shawn Levy has promised MCU fans are not required to do any "homework" to enjoy the film:

"I was a good student in school. I'll do my homework as an adult. But I am definitely not looking to do homework when I go to the movies," Levy told AP. "I very much made this film with certainly a healthy respect and gratitude towards the rabid fan base that has peak fluency in the mythology and lore of these characters and this world. But I didn't want to presume that. This movie is built for entertainment, with no obligation to come prepared with prior research."

Deadpool & Wolverine has a release date of July 26th - the 11th Anniversary of The Wolverine's release.

Avatar: The Last Airbender has quite a lot of new projects now in the works, and one awesome cosplay is helping to highlight Toph Beifong's role in it all! Avatar: The Last Airbender made waves earlier this year with the release of the first season of its new live-action TV series with Netflix, and thus it was quickly announced that this series would be continuing with not one, but two more seasons in the future. As Netflix begins work on what's next, fans have been excited to see new takes of characters who have yet to be introduced like Toph.

But the live-action series is only one of the new Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise projects in the works as the animated iteration of the franchise is also in the works on its debut movie with a release planned for some time in 2026. That means fans will be seeing much more of Toph for the first time in quite a long time, and now fans are getting in on the fun early by showing Toph even more love through great examples such as this cosplay from artist miruqi on Instagram. What's Next for Avatar: The Last Airbender?

Netflix has announced that Avatar: The Last Airbender will be returning for both Season 2 and 3 in the near future. A production start date has yet to be announced as of the time of publication, nor has there been a release window or date announced for the new episodes. But you can catch up with everything that's happened in the eight episode first season (which adapts the first season of the animated classic) now streaming with Netflix. It stars a core a core cast of Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko, Elizabeth Yu as Azula, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Iroh, Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai and more.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is also working on a brand new animated feature film set after the events of the original series. Under the current working title of Aang: The Last Airbender, Lauren Montgomery will be directing the film for Avatar Studios with original series co-creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino producing the film alongside Eric Coleman. The voice cast currently includes Eric Nam as an adult Aang, Dave Bautista as the currently unnamed villain, and Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, and Roman Zaragoza in unconfirmed roles.

The fate of the Yellowstone franchise is still up in the air, but one its biggest stars may have given a hint about which direction things are moving in.

In a new interview, Yellowstone's Rip Wheeler actor, Cole Hauser, seemed to indicate that - despite previous reporting to the contrary - there are plans for a Yellowstone Sequel Series that will continue the story of key franchise characters:

"I'm so focused on finishing Yellowstone the way it needs to be finished right now -- well, just the show itself," Hauser explained to Country Living. "We'll see where that leads. But I know that there's some stuff on the horizon when it comes to Taylor's ideas for Kelly Reilly and myself, and some of the other cast. I'm excited to see where he goes creatively with that. But right now it's just: Let's finish strong; let's do the best we can."

Back in February, reports alleged that Hauser and his Yellowstone co-stars Kelly Reilly (who plays Beth Dutton) and Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton) were at an impasse in negotiations with Paramount - an impasse that could kill the idea of Yellowstone's story continuing into the next series while retaining the current cast.

Kelly Reilly openly refuted those reports after they dropped; she echoed Hauser in saying their focus is on finishing the last batch of episodes in Yellowstone's Final Season, first, before worrying about the future:

"I just care about finishing [the main show] with as much care and as much passion and as much love as I can muster to put into it. That's what I care about. I'm sort of prepping for that now [and] that's my tunnel vision thing that I care about most," Reilly said. "And what goes on beyond that? There are discussions, you know. Don't believe everything you read. It's just nonsense. But we're gonna, you know, let's wait and see. I don't have an answer right now. But we'll see."

Yellowstone Season 5 started airing in November of 2022, and aired its midseason finale (with Episode 8) in January of 2023. The Hollywood Writers' and Actors' Strikes of 2023 dealt a serious blow to the original production schedule; the final six episodes of Yellowstone are now set for release in November of this year.

SPOILERS - Yellowstone's midseason finale saw the Dutton family's schism widen to a deadly degree; Beth is planning on killing her adopted brother Jamie (Wes Bentley), while Jamie is plotting against her and their father John (Kevin Costner), whose own feelings about handling Jamie remains unclear.

Behind the scenes, we know that Costner will be done with Yellowstone after this - although even he recently hinted that he could still be part of the franchise, moving forward.

Yellowstone will return for its Final episodes in November 2024.

Jazwares chief Jeremy Padawer shared a video over the weekend featuring Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day star Bill Murray. In the video, Murray dives into a ball pit filled with Squishmallows, but then finds himself struggling to get traction to get back up. Saying it was like being stuck in quicksand, Murray squirms a bit before the video cuts away to him standing outside the pit with Padawer.

Murray, who recently appeared in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, seems to go viral whenever he's spotted out in public. Whether it's signing fans' foreheads or photobombing strangers, Murray seems to have a mythology that follows him around -- and here we might see why. Even at 73, he seems to have no reservations about doing anything for a laugh.

"Bill Murray jumped into our Squishmallows pit at Berkshire Hathaway meeting... and got stuck," Padawer wrote. "However, like a D1 super-athlete, he quickly rallied and escaped - but not before a little hijinks!"

It's May 4th, better known to Star Wars fans as, well, Star Wars Day and this year, Luke Skywalker himself Mark Hamill paid a visit to the White House in what he described as a "make-believe defender of the galaxy" meeting a "real-life defender of democracy". On social media, Hamill shared a photo of himself with President Joe Biden in the Oval Office. Hamill also told press (via USA Today) that his visit this year, while not his first to the White House, was the first time he'd ever been to the Oval Office.

"I was honored to be asked to come to the White House to meet the President, the most legislatively successful president in my lifetime," Hamill said. He went on to say that the president had said that he could call him "Joe" but Hamill asked if he could call him "Joe-Bi-Wan-Kenobi".

"He liked that," Hamill said.

Star Wars: The Acolyte Got a New Poster, Trailer For Star Wars Day

Hamill visiting the White House wasn't the only way that Star Wars Day was celebrated by and for fans of the beloved franchise. On Saturday, Star Wars: The Acolyte got a new trailer and poster for the upcoming series to mark the day. The series is set to take place in The High Republic and, according to series creator Leslie Headland, will honor all eras of Star Wars and include elements from across the franchise so there is something truly for every Star Wars fan.

"It's a show packed with everything I wanted to explore: I wanted EU [Expanded Universe] stuff in there, references to the original trilogy, The Phantom Menace, the Disney sequels... it's absolutely packed. Because you never know, you may not get the chance again," Headland said previously.

"[Cinematographer] Chris [Teague] and I talked a lot about honoring George Lucas' camera moves," the showrunner continued. "I would say the original trilogy became our touchpoint for how to craft the world, while the Episode I-ness of the show is a bit more thematic."

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew's Release Window Was Also Just Revealed

On Friday, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, the next big Star Wars series to land on Disney+, was given an official release window with the series set to arrive sometime during this holiday season. Skeleton Crew will star Jude Law and Kerry Condon and will focus on a young generation of characters in a galaxy far, far away. Season 1 of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is set to consist of eight episodes.

"Jon Watts came to me, very much wanting to do a sort of Goonies in Star Wars," Kennedy told ComicBook at least year's Star Wars Celebration. "Needless to say, I'm going to say yes. And so, it's just evolved out of that kind of enthusiasm in wanting to tell stories in this space."

How to Watch and Read One Piece

When it comes to Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin's writing, there is one fairly common critique of sorts: the author often includes "gratuitous" food scenes in his work, with some critics even commenting that his books might not be quite as long if it weren't for the various "gratuitous" feasts -- among other so-called excess scenes -- packed in them. It's not criticism that Martin is bothered by, but now he's explaining why there is so much food in his work. In his foreword for the new The Official Game of Thrones Cookbook (via Polygon), Martin says that, for him, the food matters because the journey is as important as the destination.

"When used in the context of literary criticism, 'gratuitous' usually translates to 'more than I wanted' or 'did not advance the plot' And you know, often that is true," Martin writes. "Was it necessary for me to mention that the minor knight who just entered the lists bore seven golden hedgehogs on a field of dark green? In that sex scene, couldn't I just have tumbled them into bed and cut to 'the next morning'? And the feasts, oh those feasts, surely the only thing that mattered was what the characters were saying, not the honey-roasted duck they were eating as they said it? Well, no. Not for me."

He continued, "It's not the destination that matters to me, it's the journey. I have been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember. A reader of fiction, specifically. Fiction is not about getting from point A to point B as fast as possible. It can educate, but it is not educational at heart. For that, nonfiction is infinitely superior. Fiction is about emotion. The heart, not the head. Fiction gives us vicarious experience. It takes us beyond ourselves and the world around us."

Martin goes to write that he wants readers to "live with my story, not just read it. When they sit down at my table, I want them to taste the food."

What's Going On With The Winds of Winter?

Interestingly, Martin also (sort of) addresses the next book in A Song of Ice and Fire, The Winds of Winter, in the forward as well. The author notes that he hopes readers enjoy cooking the dishes in the cookbook and that they take them back to the first time they "tasted them" in A Game of Thrones "or (one day, I hope) The Winds of Winter."

Fans of the series have been waiting on The Winds of Winter for quite some time at this point. The most recent book in the series, A Dance With Dragons, was published in 2011 and even Martin himself has acknowledged how overdue the next installment is late last year.

"The main thing I'm actually writing, of course, is the same thing... I wish I could write as fast as [The Last Kingdom author Bernard Cornwell] but I'm 12 years late on this damn novel and I'm struggling with it," Martin said after acknowledging he's made very little progress in the last year. "I have like 1100 pages written but I still have hundreds more pages to go. It's a big mother of a book for whatever reason. Maybe I should've started writing smaller books when I began this but it's tough. That's the main thing that dominates most of my working life."

When Does Season 2 of House of the Dragon Debut?

While fans are waiting for The Winds of Winter to finally make its way to publication, they will at least have not only the official cookbook to look forward to, but a second season of the prequel television series, House of the Dragon. The HBO series is set to return for Season 2 sometime in June of this year. The second season of House of the Dragon will continue the story of the Targaryen family, as its members battle for power in Westeros. The first installment ended with the death of one of Rhaenyra Targaryen's children at the hands of her half-brother. The family is split into two factions, kicking off a massive war that will be depicted in the new season.

The Official Game of Thrones Cookbook goes on sale May 7th.

During the development and the release of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, fans crafted all manner of theories about how the films connected to other corners of the galaxy far, far away, while also speculating about how clues in the films could hint at what was to come for the saga. With today being Star Wars Day, fans around the world are sharing their love of the sci-fi series, with comedian and vocal supporter of Star Wars Josh Gad taking to social media to introduce an all-new theory: that OREO cookies were hidden throughout the franchise as a way for the filmmakers to pay respects to the beloved snack.

ComicBook.com: I think you can get a sense that I'm not one to mess around, I'm not one to pull my punches, so we are going to start off on something controversial and I need to hold you accountable and figure out: are you a regular OREO fan or are you a Double Stuf OREO fan?

Josh Gad: You know what? I'm going to have to go with regular. Look, I was born in the '80s. It's what I grew up with. It's what I know. It may be traditional, but look at me. I'm traditional. I'm a traditionalist.

They each have their merits and I do appreciate you coming clean and owning up to a hot-button issue that has been out there for quite a few years. Along those lines, when it comes to beverages and OREOs, are you a dunker or are you more of a drinker?

I'm a dunker. There's something about -- and it's actually very interesting, the only time I will ever voluntarily consume milk on its own is with an OREO cookie. I have a "no milk" policy. There's something about drinking milk that just makes me feel like I'm six years old and about to be screamed at by a teacher, and so I do it covertly, but I will pour a cold glass of milk and dip my OREO in it and consume it. I like the texture as it's dunked and inserted into my mouth.

That actually is my very next question, so I appreciate you setting me up. When we're talking milk, are we doing dairy milk, are we doing almond milk, or are we doing blue milk?

If I had access to authentic blue milk, I would choose blue milk. Sadly, Whole Foods doesn't yet carry intergalactic milk products, so I'm stuck with more of a whole milk situation. I think that that's not to say it wouldn't work in almond milk, I've never tried it. I've also never tried it in goat's milk or soy milk. There's various opportunities to see different flavor profiles that I feel it could be like the new version of wine pairing. That could be exciting. I just haven't done those yet. I just pour a glass of regular old-fashioned milk from a cow's udder, and I dip my cookie made in a processing plant into my mouth.

It's hard to argue with the classics. They don't go out of style. However, when it comes to new innovations in cookie technology, especially how OREO has been pushing things to new heights and introducing lots of different varietals, outside of the traditional OREO cookie, do you have a favorite varietal? Or do you even have an idea for a varietal that doesn't exist yet?

My friend Adam Shapiro, Shappy, as I call him, has been bringing the flavor variations of OREO to my attention for quite some time now, and so I've dabbled in quite a few of them.

I would love to see a savory OREO. I don't know if that exists. I haven't tried one, but I'd love to see what would happen if we had -- think of a pretzel-infused OREO situation. It may not work, it could even be catastrophic, but again, we won't know until we've at least experimented.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

That's right.

Plus, even if there has been a savory flavor, I feel like these varietals are on the shelf for a week before it's replaced with whatever the new innovation is.

Do you know what I've never tried that I really want to try? A fried OREO. That's something that I'd really like to try at some point. My doctor does not want me to try that. I think it would be really delicious, though.

Listen, as a temporary representative of OREO, I don't think you're necessarily endorsing that people go out and do this, but you can say, as a human being with wants and needs, let's get you some deep-fried OREOs.

I think so. I think I've earned them.

Well, we've chatted at least a fair bit about OREO--

I don't think we've chatted enough about OREO, actually.

Let's hear about this partnership, you've collaborated with OREO in honor of Star Wars. How did this OREO theory that fans will be learning about, how did this whole opportunity come about?

Well, as anyone who knows me can attest, two of my favorite things -- outside of my children -- are OREOs and Star Wars, and both of them I actually share with my children. Occasionally, I will hold back on OREOs sometimes, but I love both of those things.

It came to my attention that there's more crossover between both of these incredible, fan favorites than one may have noticed until now. When you look deeply enough, you start finding OREOs popping up in all sorts of places in the Star Wars universe. From architecture to face masks to, dare I say, even lightsaber blades. I think that if you look hard enough, you will see that there's no way that the Star Wars films could have been made without OREO cookies.

And that's not meant to be a controversial statement, it's just meant to be a statement of fact. That's just something that is, what's the word? Indisputable. It's very hard to look at the Millennium Falcon and not think to yourself, "That's a flying OREO cookie." It's not impossible, but it's unlikely that wasn't what the filmmakers were attempting.

I remember specifically ahead of the sequel trilogy coming out and things about Snoke and his origins before we learned his true origins in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but as a Star Wars fan, are you one to dive deep into Reddit theories about "does this actually mean this?" and who really was Darth Plagueis? Or are you more just thinking, "You know what, I'm going to let these filmmakers just tell me what's what,"?

If you've ever seen my videos interrogating Daisy Ridley, you'll know that I am not one to settle for just what is readily available. I like to go deep. I'm curious to hear your theory on Darth Plagueis. I think we both think Palpatine killed him, but do we have a motive? Do we have DNA?

I heard that Palpatine killed him. It was actually a dispute that Plagueis was attempting to use bantha milk to dunk some OREOs in, and Palpatine refused to allow such a thing to happen.

Well, I know that Doku was lactose intolerant, so I knew that that was very difficult for him, but I didn't know about this theory. That's interesting.

Because I guess since there's always two, according to the Sith "Rule of Two," it was that Palpatine had heard from Plagueis' doctor that his Midichlorian counts were really out of whack.

Well, you've got to do a physical once a year. You have to check your Midichlorian counts.

I apologize, by the way. I said "Doku" and I meant "Dooku," and now the entire Star Wars fan base is going to come after me with OREO lightsabers and I don't want that. I don't want that headache. I don't need that headache. I want to apologize. Switching that vowel was below me, and I'm very sorry.

I'm glad because I was about to mention that Plagueis' Doctor was actually Dr. Evazan, and then I thought, "Wait, actually, the timeline might not line up."

It might not line up.

Evazan might've been pre-med, so I'm glad that you made such a blunder to prevent me from implicating myself. When it comes to Star Wars Day, how do you and your kids and your family celebrate it? Is it just every day is Star Wars Day in your house?

May the 4th is the one day that's ... It's every other day for me that is Star Wars Day, and that becomes my Sabbath. My day of rest.

No, every year is different. Sometimes there will be a lightsaber battle in my home, other times there will not. So it's really those two variations that play out the most. I'm very excited about May the 4th.

Again, it's the rule of two. It's either there are lightsaber battles, or there are not lightsaber battles.

Or there's not, yeah. There's not much else, I wish I could tell you that my family and I use the Force on each other. We don't. We don't have that genetic attribute.

You love Star Wars, and you've even gotten to contribute to a variety of Star Wars projects over the years, and with the franchise growing, a lot of people are getting opportunities to enter the franchise in ways previously unavailable. For you, if there was the opportunity of, "Josh, we really want you to play a main character in a Star Wars thing," and therefore it would ruin the mystery of Star Wars as a fan, do you think you'd jump at the opportunity to become an official part of the franchise?

Oh, yeah, absolutely. If they were to offer me Donnie the Hutt, like Jabba's nephew or something like that, I would do it in a second.

I will tell you that I have actually been on the flip side of this where I have been invited to numerous Star Wars sets, and have learned things way before the movies came out that I was actually very sad that I knew. I saw Baby Yoda about a year before anybody knew about Baby Yoda, so that was both cool, but also slightly disappointing because then I couldn't be surprised.

And also realizing, "Oh, this is just a puppet on set," as opposed to an actual character.

Yeah, but it was a very cool puppet. I got to play with it.

It's May and that makes it an interesting time of year where it's not quite summer, but the spring weather is starting to get just a little bit warmer and thoughts are turning towards ways to keep things cool and fresh and beat the heat as summer approaches. That's especially true when it comes to food and drink -- and coffee, especially. Now, Starbucks is debuting new options for coffee fans to get a little cafe quality cool refreshment at home. Starting this month, the brand is launching two new Cold Brew Concentrates as well as new Iced Coffee Blends at retailers nationwide.

The new Iced Coffee Blends in Signature Black are described as featuring seasonally sourced coffee beans that maintain "vibrant sweet citrus and caramel notes when chilled". It makes them perfect enjoyed black or paired with Starbucks Creamers this spring and summer, or all year long. The Iced Coffee Blend in Signature Black comes in both ground and K-Cup pod offerings. Additionally, Starbucks is rolling out the new Iced Coffee Blend in Naturally Flavored Vanilla. This blend is described as being crafted to be cold and featured velvety vanilla notes. It comes in K-Cup pods.

As for the Cold Brew Concentrates, Starbucks has expanded their lineup to add two new flavors: Dark Chocolate Hazelnut and Sweetened Black. Both flavors feature cold-steeped custom blend coffee that all coffee lovers have to do is mix with equal parts water, pour over ice, and stir in creamer, milk or other flavors and enjoy. These new flavors join Signature Black and Caramel Dolce, both of which are already available.

In Other Starbucks News

In other Starbucks news, Starbucks recently added the new Spicy Lemonade Refreshers to their spring drink menu. Available in the Spicy Lemonade Refresher line are the Spicy Dragon Fruit Lemonade Refresher, the Spicy Pineapple Lemonade Refresher, and the Spicy Strawberry Lemonade Refresher. Each refresher gets their spice from a spicy chili powder blend with lemonade. The Spicy Cream Cold foam is available as a customization and is made with the classic Starbucks cold foam and their Spicy Chili Powder Blend. It can be added to any cold beverage, with the brand suggesting customers try it with an iced chai for what they call a "delicious combination of spices" or to simply enjoy it with a cold brew for "coffee with a kick." The entire spicy lineup is available for a limited time this spring, while supplies last.

The final episodes of Yellowstone are still in the works, currently set to arrive in November of this year, and while there is still a lot that we don't know about the back half of the popular series' fifth season and series star Kevin Costner's reported departure from it, there is one thing that the actor is making clear: he's open to working with Taylor Sheridan again. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Costner said that while he hasn't spoken with Yellowstone creator Sheridan about the final episodes of the series, he's open to working with him again in the future, be it on something for Yellowstone or on another project.

"He's doing special work in a lot of different ways. He's very prolific about the things he does, and if he sees me in something that he wants to do, I'll look at it just the way I did Yellowstone and maybe we will end up doing something together," Costner said. "He likes a lot of the things that I like, and the idea of us working together is not out of the question for me. The subjects he chooses are very interesting to me. I like a lot of that stuff. Yellowstone stands out as something that could continue. But that is a Taylor question. But other things that he's doing I think are really, really good. He likes the same subjects that I do."

Costner Wants to Come Back For The End of Yellowstone

Costner has previously said that he'd be interested in returning for the final episodes of Yellowstone to close out John Dutton's story, though it's not something that he's been able to work out.

"I'd like to be able to do it but we haven't been able to," Costner said previously. "I thought I was going to make seven [seasons] but right now we're at five. So, how it works out -- I hope it does -- but they've got a lot of different shows going on. Maybe it will. Maybe this will circle back to me. If it does and I feel really comfortable with [it], I'd love to do it."

Costner's Horizon: An American Saga Opens In Theaters This Summer

While Costner's Yellowstone future is uncertain, the actor does have a new film coming to theaters this summer, Horizon: An American Saga. The two-part cinematic event, broken into Chapters One and Two, is directed and co-written by Costner and described as a "multi-faceted chronicle covering the Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West."

"Spanning the four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, Costner's ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey across a country at war with itself, experienced through the lens of families, friends and foes all attempting to discover what it truly means to be the United States of America.

Jerry Seinfeld's new Netflix movie Unfrosted has a scene that will definitely get viewers buzzing, as it features a crossover cameo from one of the most acclaimed and popular TV series in recent years.

Obviously, explaining what happens will require some SPOILERS for Unfrosted!

The story of Unfrosted sees Seinfeld playing "Bob Cabana" a top executive at Kellogg's, who gets into a breakfast food arms race with rival Marjorie Post (Amy Schumer) of Post cereals. Even when the Kellogg team got their big breakthrough by inventing a breakfast pastry that could be stored on shelves, they still had no idea what to name it or how to market it.

So they called in the experts.

Unfrosted's Mad Men Cameo Explained

In a hilarious crossover scene, Bob Cabana, his boss Edsel Kellogg III (Jim Gaffigan) and lead research scientist Donna Stankowski (Melissa McCarthy) meet with the Mad Men gang from Sterling Cooper for a marketing pitch, which is led by Don Draper (Jon Hamm), with Roger Sterling (John Slattery) sitting in as his wing-man.

We get a classic Mad Men Don Draper pitch scene (if you know you know...), only in the comedic stylings of Unfrosted, Don goes way over the top with his idea, naming the breakfast pastry the "Jelle Jolie," with marketing poster concepts using scantily-clad pin-up girls to sexualize the product. It's a spot-on send-up when Gaffigan's Ed Kellogg insists they are a family-friendly cereal company, and Don bullies them into either getting provocative or being irrelevant, while Roger not-so-subtly suggests that their sad little Michigan town could use a little more sexy seduction - that he is happy to provide himself.

Unfrosted is set in the year 1963, which is the same time period in which Mad Men Season 3 takes place. Funny enough, it was in that third season that both Don and Roger saw their tomcat ways cause trouble in their respective marriages - ultimately ending Don's. Unfrosted makes sure to let poke fun of the Mad Men bravado, with McCarthy's character calling B.S. on Don's line that "His pleasure is her pleasure too."

There's been some buzz about this Mad Men crossover with Unfrosted - and not all of it positive. That said, Seinfeld's film doesn't make it a mystery that it is playing fast and loose with history and reality, routinely leaning into absurdist and/or slapstick comedy. This Mad Men bit is some pretty good satire comedy, while never losing the silly spirit of the overall film. What's there to be mad about?

Unfrosted is now streaming on Netflix.

After the success of last year's Fast X, fans have been waiting for updates on the future of the Fast & Furious franchise, and while it's unclear when we'll see the next chapter in the high-octane cinematic series, today sees Universal Studios Hollywood confirming an all-new roller coaster honoring the series is on the way. Not only is it exciting that the beloved franchise will be getting a new attraction, but it also marks the first outdoor, high-speed roller coaster for the theme park, giving fans another reason to be excited to visit the destination. "Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift" is set to open sometime in 2026.

"As a premier entertainment theme park destination with a rich history in immersing guests in incredible rides based on today's most inspiring movie, television, and gaming properties, we are excited to introduce our very first, high-speed outdoor roller coaster," Scott Strobl, Executive Vice President & General Manager, Universal Studios Hollywood, shared in a statement. Per press release, "Universal Studios Hollywood announces its first-ever, high-speed outdoor roller coaster 'Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift' will join the theme park family in 2026. The dynamic new thrill ride, themed to Universal Pictures' blockbuster film saga, Fast & Furious, will elevate the guest experience with innovative and technological achievements never previously employed in a roller coaster."

"The state-of-the-art ride system is being uniquely designed to immerse guests within the high-speed Fast & Furious universe. Highlights will include groundbreaking 360-degree rotation of the individual ride vehicles as they rocket along an elaborate track meticulously constructed with sound reduction technology for a breathtaking, superior experience. These attributions will create a seamless sensation of drifting cars as guests spin in motion at furiously fast speeds.

Back in 2020, the cast of Parks and Recreation got together for a one-time reunion in the form of a remotely filmed special episode that doubled as a fundraiser for Feeding America. Naturally, since then fans of the series have wondered if there would be a reboot or even another reunion and now, series star Adam Scott is weighing in and it doesn't sound like it's something that is in the cards. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Scott said that while he loves everyone involved with Parks and Recreation and he loves the show, it had a real ending.

"Parks and Rec is a completely [different thing] with Mike [Schur] and Amy {Poehler] and Greg [Daniels] and all of those wonderful people's decision, and if they would ever be interested in doing something like that, it would be up to them," he said. "But I mean, I would go get a sandwich with all of those people. I wouldn't have to be shooting the show. I just love all of 'em so much. I mean, the show itself had a real ending."

He continued, "We did do something over the pandemic where we all got back together and made an episode. I don't know if there would ever be any more, but I mean, I really don't know. I love the show and love all the people. It's always fun seeing any of them. I haven't seen the show in a long time just because I miss it and I feel like it would be sad to watch it, but it's just such a lovely show and lovely group of people."

What is Parks and Recreation About?

Debuting on NBC in 2009, Parks and Recreation is a political satire mocumentary sitcom that ran for seven seasons, ending in 2015. It followed the Parks and Recreation department of the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana and its deputy director, Leslie Knope (Poehler). The series also starred Rashida Jones, Paul Schneider, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O'Heir, Retta, and Billy Eichner.

The Office is Getting a Reboot

While there are no plans for a reboot or reunion for Parks and Recreation, Greg Daniels' The Office is getting a reboot. It was recently reported that Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore are set to star in the new version of the series with Daniels returning to lead the writers room. Details about the new series have not been revealed, though it's been reported that the series will not serve as a sequel to the original series or reimagine it but will be set in a new office with a new set of characters in the same world as the original series.

Don't expect to see Ryan Gosling taking on any "darker" roles anytime soon. The Barbie and The Fall Guy star recently told The Wall Street Journal (via Variety) that he's no longer choosing those sorts of roles because they are just not in the best interest of his family. Gosling and partner Eva Mendes have two children.

"I don't really take roles that are going to put me in some kind of dark place," Gosling said. "This moment is what I feel like trying to read the room at home and feel like what is going to be best for all of us. The decisions I make, I make them with Eva and we make them with our family in mind first."

He added, "I think La La Land was the first. It was just sort of like, 'Oh, this will be fun for them, too, because even though they're not coming to set, we're practicing piano every day or we're dancing or we're singing,' Their interest in Barbie and their disinterest in Ken was an inspiration I thought, they were already making little movies about their Barbies on the iPad when it happened, so the fact that I was going off to work to make one too, we just felt like we were aligned."

Gosling Next Stars in The Fall Guy

In keeping with his new approach to roles, Gosling's next film is The Fall Guy, which opens in theaters this week. In the film, Gosling plays a stuntman who finds himself back in action when the star of a big-budget studio film goes missing. Gosling recently made a surprise appearance at Universal Studios Hollywood's WaterWorld stunt show in support of the movie as the show currently features The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show.

Gosling Also Recently Appeared At The Fall Guy Red Carpet As Beavis

During his recent Saturday Night Live appearance saw Gosling and SNL cast member Mikey Day play audience members who bore striking resemblances to Beavis and Butt-Head. On Tuesday, the pair showed up at The Fall Guy red carpet in the same costumes, crashing one of Gosling's The Fall Guy co-stars Emily Blunt's interviews to hilarious effect.

As it turns out, the SNL sketch that prompted all this was actually one that has been years in the making before Gosling came along and it ended up working out.

"It was a sketch that had been put up at table reads for about five years prior to this," SNL's Heidi Gardner explained. "Previously, I was in the sketch but as an audience member. I can't remember the other castings of it. It never made it to a dress rehearsal."

"Every so often, because of timing or the stage it's in, a sketch might be cut on a Friday night as opposed to a Saturday," she added. "That's what happened the time before. I had never seen the costumes. It was a sketch that Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell kept on pitching, like, 'Before the end of our time here, we have to do the Beavis and Butt-Head sketch.' It was their white whale; they really wanted to do it. Knowing Ryan is always so down for fun and playful things, my guess is they thought he would be into it."

The Fall Guy hits theaters May 3.

It's been two months since Dune: Part Two hit theaters and while the film continues to receive praise from audiences, there's another aspect of the movie that is a hotter topic of conversation even this far out. That topic is, of course, the infamous popcorn bucket. AMC's souvenir popcorn bucket for Dune: Part Two has a distinctive sandworm design that quickly went viral, becoming the subject of plenty of NSFW jokes and even a noteworthy SNL sketch. Now, the designers behind the popcorn bucket are weighing in, revealing that coming up with the design for the bucket was a challenge to start with -- and they didn't see the jokes coming, either.

"We were kind of scratching our heads," Marcus Gonzalez, global creative director for Zinc Group told Polygon. "We kept going back and forth going, 'Is the pain box going to work? And although the pain box is iconic, and it's something that Dune fans know, it also has to be something that is recognizable. It's got to have that nag factor so someone has to be like, Ooh, I want that."

The idea they kept coming back to was the sandworm, but even at that getting the design sorted out had its own challenges -- which ironically included them opting not to do a full worm design because of what it looked like.

"The worm always posed a problem, even when the book was written and they had illustrations based off it," Gonzalez said. "Because, you know, it looks like something. So, we opted not to do the full worm for that very reason, which, I guess it doesn't matter."

Gonzales said that the NSFW jokes about the buckets ended up coming as a complete surprise to them.

"You don't know what the internet is going to latch on to and how they're going to latch on to it," Gonzales said.

Dune: Part Two Director Denis Villeneuve Shared His Reaction To The Bucket As Well

Speaking with The New York Times recently, Villeneuve shared his reaction to the bucket, revealing that it made him laugh and that he thinks that the designers are "a bit of a genius."

"I thought that the bucket was an insane marketing idea," Villeneuve said. "I laughed so much. It is so out there. I don't know who designed it, but they're a bit of a genius. I'm at peace with the bucket."

Another Viral Popcorn Bucket Could Be On The Horizon

With the popularity of the Dune: Part Two bucket, Deadpool & Wolverine could very well be the next movie to have a viral popcorn bucket. Kevin Feige recently teased that the eagerly anticipated film will have a popcorn bucket that is intentionally "crude and lewd".

"Deadpool & Wolverine is getting a popcorn bucket which will be intentionally crude and lewd. #CinemaCon," ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis shared on Twitter while attending the presentation. Move over Dune, because the Merc with the Mouth isn't afraid of stirring the pot."

Alligator Loki - the fan-favorite Loki variant featured in Marvel's Loki Season 1 - has gone missing.

The animal actor, known as "Wally The Emotional Support Alligator" was reportedly kidnapped from his handler Joie Henney's secure enclosure while Henney was out fishing with friends in Brunswick, Georgia on April 21st, per Southern Living. According to a social media post, the kidnapper was "some jerk who likes to drop alligators into someone's yard to terrorize them." From there, the story gets even stranger: the government agency meant to handle orphaned and/or injured animals sent a trapper out to the property where Wally had been dropped off; the trapper caught Wally and dropped him off with a bunch of other gators into a local swamp.

That may not seem like a dire situation to most onlookers - but apparently, it's not a very good situation for an emotional support animal like Wally to be in. According to a post from the "Wallygator" account, "The trapper said the chances of them finding Wally is slim to none," as there's difficulty even deciding where to get started:

"We have been unsuccessful in getting specific information about a location to begin a search. Even the original swamp we were told is so large it would take months with an army to search...Thank you all for your continued support, tips, suggestions, and prayers. All of these are more appreciated than you know."

Joie Henney has been appealing to Wally's fans and good samaritans alike, pleading for help in finding his beloved friend. In a recent Wallygator TikTok post, Henney pleaded, "We need all the help we can get to bring my baby back. There's a reward out for Wally's return safely with no questions asked. Please help us. Please."

One of the latest posts (at the time of writing this) reveals that the calls for help may gotten too much of a response. While a location where Wally was released has been identified, the swamp is very large, and there are all kinds of legalities popping up when it comes to who can even venture into the swamp and attempt to trap an alligator:

"The trapper told her [the caller who reported Wally in her yard] at that time his plan was to put Wally somewhere in the Okefenokee swamp. This swamp is 438,000 acres. Let me make this clear guys, anyone other than a licensed trapper caught with taking an alligator from here risks jail time and major fines. So while we know everyone wants to do a search and find Wally it's not legal to do so."

As you can see from his various social media accounts, Wally has a lot of fans - and not just those who know him from the MCU. A GoFundMe dedicated to the search for Wally has been established.

Super Nintendo World just showed fans what the new Donkey Kong Country area would look like down in Florida. Universal Epic Universe released a cinematic reel of their developments around Super Nintendo World. While there's a ton to unpack with Yoshi's getting their own attraction, all eyes are on Donkey Kong. Speciaically, Mine-Cart Madness, the new ride that features everyone's favorite Donkey Kong Country element, the mine cart levels. Clearly, Universal has stepped up the offerings from the Super Nintendo World opening in Los Angeles, California. Check out the amazing video for yourself down below!

What's Going On With Different Rides At Multiple Parks?

With the differences between the two parks, it's good to do some research before you turn up for a fun day at Universal Studios or Epic Universe. ComicBook.com had a chance to attend a special event in California shortly before Super Nintendo World opened to the public. During that tour, we spoke to Universal Creative Vice President Jon Corfino about the differences between this park and the one in Osaka Japan. In fact, the location across the ocean actually already had the Yoshi ride ready to roll. But, there are plans for some variations between the locations as time passes along. Here's what Corfino had to say:

"I'll break it down. In terms of the ride itself, the ride here is the ride there. In terms of the configuration, some of our queue lines are different. In terms of the configuration it's different. We still have the same areas, and that's how it's different. But, the rides are the rides and In terms of the land itself, we do not have a Yoshi ride," Corfino explained. "That aside, I would say pound for pound, you're going to get the same experience that's out there. Just maybe a slightly different configuration. But, the same experience."

In other spring food news, The Original Donut Shop recently debuted their newest innovation, The Original Donut Shop Iced Refreshers K-Cup pods. The Apothecary Diaries was one of the quiet anime hits that fans will definitely remember when it comes to best of the year conversations, and one awesome cosplay is helping to highlight why with Maomao! The Apothecary Diaries first made its debut last Fall, but didn't quite get a ton of attention right away. This all changed with the second half of the anime's run that aired earlier this year as not only did the series pick up even more speed with its central mystery, but word of mouth among fans helped to catapult it to a whole new level of popularity and acclaim.

At the center of the anime was Maomao, the titular apothecary that fans saw work her way up through the political rankings of imperial China to the point where she's having direct conversations with the emperor. Solving deadly mysteries and figuring out the trick behind certain poisons (and maybe sparking a romance along the way), Maomao became one of the standout characters to watch this year overall. What Is The Apothecary Diaries?

Based on the original line of light novels from Natsu Hyuga and Touko Shino, The Apothecary Diaries' first season ran for 24 episodes overall. Directed by Norihiro Naganuma for TOHO animation and OLM, Yukiko Nakatani designs the characters, and Satoru Kousaki, Kevin Penkin, and Arisa Okehazama are composing the music behind the episodes. The anime has confirmed that a second season of the series is on the way for a scheduled release some time next year, so there's plenty of time to catch up with it all.

If you wanted to check out the anime for yourself before the next season hits in 2025, you can now find the anime exclusively streaming with Crunchyroll. They tease what to expect from The Apothecary Diaries as such, "Maomao lived a peaceful life with her apothecary father. Until one day, she's sold as a lowly servant to the emperor's palace. Star Wars Celebration is returning next year, and the fan-favorite con is heading to Japan. Star Wars Celebration is taking place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan from April 18th to April 20th in 2025. Tickets are going on sale tomorrow, and the first guests for the event have already been announced. Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett), Doug Chiang (Executive Creative Director of Lucasfilm), and Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka) will all be at the event next year.

"Star Wars icon Anthony Daniels, the only actor to work on all 11 Star Wars feature films, will make an appearance. Daniels notably portrayed C-3PO in all three Skywalker saga trilogies," StarWars.com reads. "Also from live action, Temuera Morrison will be there. Morrison first played Jango Fett and his army of clones in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, and has more recently brought Boba Fett back from the (presumed) dead on The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett."

"Lucasfilm's own Doug Chiang, an Academy Award-winning artist who also serves as senior vice president and executive design director, will be there, too. Recently, Chiang has served as production designer on several Star Wars live-action series, including The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and Skeleton Crew," the site continues. "And from animation, Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Tales of the Jedi, will appear. The event is excited to welcome back Official Pix as the autograph provider for the show."

When Do Star Wars Celebration Tickets Go On Sale?

The Skywalker Saga Is Coming To Theaters:

May 4th is the day to honor all things Star Wars and fans of the franchise will have an extra special way to celebrate this year. It was previously announced that Star Wars: The Phantom Menace would be heading back to theaters in honor of its upcoming 25th anniversary, but you will also have the chance to catch the rest of the Skywalker Saga on the big screen this May. The first prequel film is returning to theaters on May 3rd with a special sneak peek at the upcoming series, Star Wars: The Acolyte. StarWars.com also revealed this week that fans can watch The Phantom Menace on the big screen with the rest of the Skywalker Saga on May 4th.

"Lucasfilm announced today that in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, fans will have the chance to experience the entire Skywalker Saga in theaters this May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day," StarWars.com shared. What Is IF (2024) About?

From writer and director John Krasinski, IF is about a young girl named Bea, who has been going through a troubling experience in her life, unexpectedly gains the ability to see people's imaginary friends (referred to as "IFs" for short) who have been abandoned by the kids they helped. Bea then discovers that her neighbor, Cal, has the same ability. Together they join forces to reunite the IFs with their former kids.

Starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Krasinski, the ensemble cast IF features many of the filmmakers' real-life friends, including Steve Carell (The Office) as Blue, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) as Blossom, and late Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman) as Lewis, with Fiona Shaw (the Harry Potter films) and Alan Kim (Minari) among the human cast. IF also features the voices of Emily Blunt, Blake Lively, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Maya Rudolph, Bradley Cooper, Jon Stewart, Sam Rockwell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Awkwafina, Amy Schumer, Richard Jenkins, Keegan Michael Key, Matthew Rhys, Christopher Meloni, and Krasinski as different kinds of IFs.

"I figured I needed to make a movie for my kids. Seeing as though Quiet Place is like PG-40 in our house -- they won't see Quiet Place till they're 40 -- I figured I should make one for them," Krasinski told EW. "I was so enamored by the world that my kids were going to by themselves. They were off on their own and clearly deep in imagination, whether it was a game, whether it was painting, whether it was doing art, all this stuff. They went into this locked-in place that I wish I could have visited."

It was a The Princess Diaries reunion of sorts on The Kelly Clarkson Show recently, complete with Sandra Oh reprising her role as Vice Principal Geraldine Gupta to recreate an iconic scene from the beloved film. On Tuesday's episode of the talk show, Oh reenacted the famous scene from the beloved 2001 film, picking up the phone and delivering the 'Uh huh. Uh huh. Uh huh. The Queen is coming' line except, this time, it wasn't Julie Andrews' Queen whose arrival she was referring to. Instead, she was introducing Anne Hathaway, who was Clarkson's guest. The show shared the recreation to their social media and you can check out the spot-on moment for yourself below.

Oh has previously said that she has "no idea" how her character has ended up a fan favorite or become an enduring moment that fans still reference today.

"I feel like it's your generation that hit when you were all very young," she said. Hathaway Recently Shared An Update About The Princess Diaries 3

In a recent interview with V Magazine, Hathaway offered a small update on a potential The Princess Diaries 3.

"We're in a good place," Hathaway said about The Princess Diaries 3 in an interview with V Magazine. "That's all I can say. There's nothing to announce yet. But we're in a good place."

Hathaway also offered an update about a possible The Devil Wears Prada 2, saying that she didn't think a sequel to the film was likely.

"Probably not. We all love each other and if somebody could come up with a way to do it, I think we'd all be crazy not to," Hathaway said. "But there's a huge difference in the world now with technology, and one of the things about that particular story is it was about producing a physical object. Now with so much being digital, it would just be very different. Maybe me, Stanley, Emily, Meryl, Dave Frankel, Patricia Field... we should just all do something else together. That'd be fun."

What Do We Know About The Princess Diaries 3?

In November 2022, it was reported that Supergirl and Reacher writer Aadrita Mukerji is writing the script for a third film in The Princess Diaries franchise. The film would serve as a direct continuation of the first to films. Debra Martin Chase, who produced the first two films, is also set to return for The Princess Diaries 3. However, there have been few updates since then, though Chris Pine, who played Mia's love interested Nicholas Devereaux in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, has expressed interest in returning for a third installment.

"Yeah, I'm here for it," Pine said previously. "Give me a phone call or an email."

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End might go down as one of the best anime we'll see in 2024, and one awesome cosplay is helping to highlight it all by bringing Frieren's spells to life! Frieren: Beyond Journey's End made the debut of its first anime season last Fall as it kicked off the story after a story. The titular Frieren realized that she didn't quite appreciate her adventuring party while they were alive, and thus decided to go on a new journey to recapture some of that magic that she had long ago. And by the end of the first season, it was a bonafide hit.

It was because through the first season of the anime, fans got to learn even more about Frieren herself. It was through her connections with other people that fans got to see more of how she ticked, and why she ended up fighting so hard on behalf of humanity. Then it was boosted even further by the fact that when Frieren used all of the magic at her disposal, the anime really showed out. It's that magic power in particular that's been awesomely brought to life thanks to some equally as magical cosplay from artist daniellesgalaxy on Instagram. How to Watch Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End came to an end with the Winter 2024 anime schedule, but there is unfortunately currently no word on whether or not the anime will be continuing with a second season as of the time of this publication. But while we are all waiting for a potential announcement for the anime's future, there is plenty of time to check out everything that happened during the first season of the anime. If you wanted to do so, you can currently find the anime exclusively streaming with Crunchyroll.

As for what to expect from the anime's story, Crunchyroll tease what goes down in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End as such, "After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity's mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends' dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out."

It's been just two days since a years-long search for one of the internet's most mysterious songs drew to a close -- and now the musicians behind "Ulterior Motives" are set to re-record the song for an official release. "Ulterior Motives" -- alternately known as "Everyone Knows That" -- was identified on Sunday, after years of effort by dozens of internet sleuths. A clip from the song was originally uploaded to WatZatSong (a site that helps fans identify songs when apps like Shazam fail) in 2021, and went unidentified until this weekend. The song, as it turns out, was by filmmakers and composers Christopher Saint Booth and Philip Adrian Booth. As far as we can tell now, it first appeared in Angels of Passion, a 1986 adult film from CB Productions and director Jerome Bronson.

"Ulterior Motives" became one of the key songs in the "lostwave" canon. Lostwave is a subgenre of lost media -- although in many cases, the song, in full or in part, is found and it's really the circumstances of its creation that are lost to time. To find "Ulterior Motives" in full, two Redditors ended up listening to every song they could find by the composers (and, by extension, watching hours of adult films).

Over the weekend, Christopher Saint Booth shared a single comment, saying he was blown away by the revelation that thousands of people had been looking for one of his songs for years. Now, he has shared a teaser video confirming that a "clean" new version is coming.

Clean, of course, has kind of a dual meaning here: not only are the old recordings of "Ulterior Motives" low-quality recordings filled with analog hiss, but one of the two versions now available on YouTube features the bedroom sounds associated with Angels of Passion. The new recording, at least in theory, won't have any simulated sex going on to confuse your listening experience.

During the search, the song and the search around it even attracted mainstream media attention, getting written up in The Guardian and Rolling Stone.

There doesn't appear to be any official way to watch Angels of Passion, but it has been archived on at least one adult website, and the link has been circulating on Reddit and Discord since it was discovered.

The Booths score for TV and film, with clients that include Syfy, Sony, and Prime Video. They make horror movies that appear on Prime Video and Tubi. ComicBook.com reached out to them for comment, but we have not yet received a comment. Given how many inquiries One Truth says they have received, it's probably safe to assume the Booth brothers are equally swamped. Fans have been trying to convince them to release the song commercially, like what happened when a pair of unidentified songs from King of the Hill were found last year.

Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth are singing the praises of their Avengers co-star Jeremy Renner, following his recovery from a snow plow accident in the beginning of 2023.

In a new Vanity Fair interview, Chris Hemsworth reflects on his bond with the other Marvel Cinematic Universe actors he worked with to make The Avengers franchise a global phenomenon. The group (which includes Downey, Hemsworth, Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo) maintains contact through an official Avengers text chain; it was on that chain that the shocking news about Renner's near-death accident got dropped:

"He sent us all a sort of a doped out, hospital, beat-up image and said, 'All good, guys.' And then I didn't hear from him for a while as he was in the thick of it," Hemsworth admitted.

Renner recently reunited with his Avengers crew at the Cap Cod wedding of Chris Evans, who married Portuguese actress Alba Baptista last September in a private home ceremony. Robert Downey Jr. (someone who certainly understands an unlikely comeback story) had all the perspective needed to recognize how much of a feat Renner had accomplished through his recovery:

"If there's one characteristic we'd all agree is paramount," Downey says of their crew, "it's resilience. To see Renner embody that literally, and in the context of what was basically a Portuguese-American wedding, was mind-blowing. Fully recovered and ready to celebrate. So, yes-miracles happen."

Hemsworth put a cap on the point by talking about how nearly dying has clearly changed Renner:

"There was an astounding sense of gratitude from him around just being alive."

Both Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. have had their own respective brushes with mortality. Downey was a notorious "bad boy" in his younger years as a breakout star (1990s), by the time he was crashing his car into the side of a house while under the influence, there were many wondering if he'd end up in an early grave. Thanks to years of work and sobriety, Downey has turned it all around, going from a complete career reboot with Iron Man in 2008, to winning his first Oscar this year for Chris Nolan's Oppenheimer.

Chris Hemsworth revealed in 2022 that genetic factors make him 8-10 times more likely to experience some form of early-onset dementia, or other neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. Since getting that diagnosis Hemsworth has had to switch focuses in life, routinely exercising his brain as well as his movie star body, and generally making preparations for a day where his mental facilities could begin to break down.

...That's all to say: Jeremy Renner is looking like a real-life Avenger to his buddies right about now - just as he's represented a real-life hero to so many people who need the example of his recovery.

Mondo has ruled the collectible landscape since its launch in 2004, honoring a number of beloved franchises with its posters, vinyl, and figures. The company's impact has only grown since they were acquired by Funko in 2022, including offering exclusive collectibles at events such as the recent Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo. While at C2E2, the company also unveiled some major details for some projects they have on the horizon, including a collaboration with ThunderCats, which will begin with a Lion-O 1/6 Scale figure later this year.

ComicBook.com recently spoke with Peter Santa Maria, Mondo's Senior Director of Art and Posters, about the ThunderCats line, as well as how the company has grown in its partnership with Funko. Plus, we covered the future of Mondo's X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men '97 figures, as well as potential plans for upcoming Marvel and DC movies.

ComicBook.com: Welcome to C2E2! Having been to your in-person presence at San Diego, it's really cool to see it here. What is it like to bring this to Chicago?

Peter Santa Maria: I mean, the idea is to be able to visit as many cities as possible over time, and we have never been here. I've attended when it was Wizard World over 20 years ago, so I knew the energy was here. I'm excited to come and meet the fans here. We have a lot of people writing us saying 'We're in Chicago, we're going to come see you guys!' So of course, any time you get to come and show stuff in-person and reveal things, it's awesome.

Do you have a favorite of the exclusives that are available this weekend?

It's hard to pick, but I'm a huge fan of our reproductions that we do, and our posters and comic repros. We brought Amazing Fantasy #15 by Jack Kirby and a beautiful Batman foil by Dave Johnson, so being able to show those to people in-person. Normally, when you see a Mondo poster, it's on a screen. You don't get it until you get it. Once people have bought a Mondo poster, they get it and they're in.

And then from the collectible side, we got the Ninja Turtles back in soft vinyl. I've been telling people: if you remember what the original toys felt like in your hand, now that you're an adult, these fit your hand the same way. It's such a strange, tactile, nostalgic feeling, even though they look updated and they're more detailed and all that. It's just something about holding those that blows my mind. So yeah, showing those is great.

It's been almost two years since the acquisition with Funko. How do you think that partnership has kind of evolved so far?

Let me put it this way: it's like gasoline on in an engine. We completely do our own thing and they say, "What do you need?" Obviously being able to show up at a show with Funko is awesome. They have a huge audience presence. But they never try to encroach on what we're doing. They know that we have our own thing. Hector Arce and myself are the Senior Creative Directors at Mondo. They don't tell us what to do. They say, "What are you doing? It looks awesome. Cool. How can we help?" It's been awesome, honestly. Everybody who works at Funko is incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and that's rare. And then also we love Loungefly, so getting to hang out with those people is great.

How excited are you for the ThunderCats collaboration?

I can't wait for people to see that. It's something that people have asked for, time and time again. Masters of the Universe and ThunderCats are kind of like peanut butter and jelly, they just work together. Masters of the Universe fans, who have supported our one six line in a huge way, have been saying, "When are you doing ThunderCats? When are you doing ThunderCats?"

We've been holding the secret for so long, and trying to design what we think is the ultimate lineup. With our Masters of the Universe line, there are so many nods and references to the cartoons, the comics, the original toys, but it's still an original Mondo design. And with ThunderCats, we're doing the exact same thing. So it should feel like Lion-O in every way, and the ThunderCats in every way, but it should just feel like it's turned up to eleven in terms of detail. We've taken a few liberties that we think, as fans, are for the best, and I can't wait to hear the feedback from the people.

Is the collaboration going to just include the figures, or is it going to span into other formats?

In our panel today, we're announcing a beautiful ThunderCats poster from Sanford Green. As much as the fans are enthusiastic, that's how much we want to do with it. We're huge ThunderCats fans. I hope to be able to grow the line.

X-Men '97 is massive right now, and I know you're revealing more information about your next figure at C2E2. Can we expect more collectibles from the show?

100%. In fact, Cyclops, who's our next figure that we'll be showing at the panel, we've revealed him in the past, but he's coming very soon. He takes a little bit more influence from the design in X-Men. But funny enough, there are a lot of parity. There's a lot of parity between the original shows. I think part of what people love, it just feels like the old show reduxed. And so yeah, that figure is going to be perfect way to seamlessly tie them together. People went nuts for Rogue and of course, after Cyclops, we have big plans for the rest of that line. So yeah, all your favorites are coming.

I'm a huge Marvel and DC fan. There are a lot of projects on the horizon that seem to be tailor-made for Mondo, and are very stylistically interesting. I know you can't talk about specifics, but is that collaboration still going to continue?

What do you want to see?

I mean, Fantastic Four. There's the new Superman movie next year.

I can tell you right now that, this year, there'll be something from both. I'm a massive Fantastic Four fan. The second that we can, we're going to be developing. We've done great repros in the past from the comic covers, which, to me, is the best thing you can do. That work is so iconic. If you have those comics, they're [only] this big, they're small. So if we can give the 24" by 36" treatment...

More Dr. Doom stuff, you know what I mean? We did a great Mobius Galactus and Silver Surfer piece. We're huge fans. And then, of course, anything with James Gunn. We're huge fans, so we are all in. We can't wait. We're having talks now and hopefully we get to do some killer stuff for that.

What is your shoot-for-the-moon license, the collaboration you would still like to do?

Oh my goodness. It's crazy, we've done so many of my dream licenses. I love Hellboy, personally. We'd love to do some Ghostbusters one day. And, of course, anything horror. So we're just always chasing... doing the perfect universal launch or collaboration for the fans. Those fans span everything. But yeah, I tell you that we're diehard Ghostbusters fans.

Fairy Tail will be making its grand return to screens with a new sequel anime, and an awesome cosplay is helping fans to keep an eye out for Erza Scarlet ahead of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest! Both the Fairy Tail anime and manga came to an end several years ago, but it was far from the end of Hiro Mashima's story for the franchise. The end of the series teased that Natsu and the others would be continuing their adventures with the toughest Fairy Tail guild quest, and the official sequel series has been showcasing how tough the titular 100 Years Quest really is. Now that sequel is going to get an anime of its own!

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest will be the first new anime for the franchise in quite some time, and Erza is just one of the many familiar faces that will be seen again with the start of the new adventures. This also means we'll be seeing all of her classic forms and attacks in action once more also, and artist yayaizen on Instagram is showing off a great reminder of why Erza's Clear Heart form is probably the best of the pack with some pitch perfect cosplay. What to Know for Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Anime

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest will be premiering some time this July as part of the Summer 2024 anime schedule. Shinji Ishihara will be returning from the original Fairy Tail anime to serve as chief director for the sequel alongside Toshinori Watanabe directing for J.C. Staff. Atsuhiro Tomioka will be overseeing the scripts, Yurika Sako will be handling character designs, and Yasuharu Takanashi will be composing the music. Returning core cast includes the likes of Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu Dragneel, Aya Hirano as Lucy Heartfilia, Rie Kugimiya as Happy, Satomi Satou as Wendy, Yui Hori as Charle, Sayaka Ohara as Erza Scarlet, and Yuichi Nakamura as Gray Fullbuster.

If you wanted to get a jump start on the sequel before the anime makes its debut, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest has been officially licensed by Kodansha Comics. They tease the sequel series as such, "Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and the whole Fairy Tail guild are back in action! And they've decided to tackle the '100 Years Quest' - a job no one's dared take on since the founding of the guild more than a century ago. Funko has been a juggernaut in the collectible space for several years now, offering a wide array of items inspired by fans' favorite franchises. Funko's output was recently on display in a major way at Chicago's C2E2 convention, with attendees able to buy exclusive figures surrounding everything from Marvel to The Simpsons to One Piece. On top of plenty of new exclusives and upcoming waves, the past year has also brought Funko's Pop! Yourself program to their website, allowing fans to design and custom order one-of-a-kind Pop! figures inspired by themselves or their loved ones.

While at C2E2, ComicBook.com caught up with Dave Bere, Funko's Vice President of Pop! Yourself & Retail, to discuss the company's biggest presence yet at the convention, as well as plans for future conventions in 2024. We also spoke about the recent expansion of the Pop! Yourself program, the company's ongoing partnership with Mondo, and more.

ComicBook.com: Welcome to C2E2, first and foremost. I was at San Diego Comic-Con a couple of years ago, and everything you did there was amazing. How does it feel to bring something on that level to Chicago?

Dave Bere: Oh, we love it. It's one of our first times here. We've never been here in this meaningful of a way. There's so much good energy. We love our shows in Southern California and New York, but to be here, be where fans are, meet them. We have so many fans in Chicago, we have so many fans in Midwest. We're so excited to be here, and you can feel the energy. We do things a certain way. We want to bring the experience, so whether we're in Southern California or we're here, you're going to get that same Funko experience. And what I hope to see is that we're here again next year. We're trying to identify other shows throughout the country that we can go to and use this as a case study.

Do you have a favorite of the C2E2 exclusives available this weekend?

I love the Freddy, Franny and Proto items. It's Franny's first convention. But I love dogs and Proto is my favorite character, so that's probably my favorite.

I did the Pop! Yourself experience this week, and it exceeded my expectations. It was so much fun. What has the response been like, in expanding it to the mass market?

It's the number one thing fans have asked for. Before, we incubated the brand in our stores. It was successful in our stores and now bringing it online... Not everyone can travel to our store, so it makes it accessible. We did a lot of work on the operation side, to do what you just said, as far as being on a doorstep in five days. Whether you are buying it for yourself or it's a gift, we want it to be reliable. But the response has been incredible. We have so many plans for the brand going forward, so it's awesome.

I can imagine that something like Pop! Yourself evolves over time, as you see what accessories people are selecting and all of that. Are there any trends that you have been noticing and responding to?

There's a few things. One, through our customer service team and our social team, we did a poll in the fall for 'What do you want to see?' And all of that information is going to join our assortment next month, which is going to be pretty awesome. So it came 100% from fans. I think the one thing we're responding to in a positive way, and want to accelerate, is the gift giving behind this. We saw a ton of it during the holidays. It really surprised us, the volume we did, because of it. And then we saw it for Valentine's Day. We're seeing it for Mother's Day. So how we approach the seasons is going to be unique for our entire business portfolio, but we think it can be really good for Pop! Yourself going forward.

It's been nearly two years since the Mondo acquisition. How do you think that partnership has kind of evolved so far?

They're so great. I mean the people first, they're so great to work with. But we love it because they offer pop culture products that are different than Funko, they're different than Loungefly. If you want a vinyl record, you want a poster, or you want a high-end action figure, we're able to meet that need under the same portfolio, and leverage the synergies of relationships that we have. But it's been nothing but awesome.

I'm a huge comic fan, and I love collecting the comic Pops you do for Marvel and DC Comics. I know you can't say specifics, but are there plans on the horizon to do more comic-specific ones for Marvel and DC?

I think the answer is yes because I think I've seen that, but I'm not as exposed to that part of the business. But I do think that that's coming. Yes.

Around the booth this year, you're teasing your convention presence at San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic Con and CCXP. Can you give any hint as to what fans can expect from there? Is it very similar to this, or is it going to be evolving?

It's going to evolve. But we love the idea of travel. We love the idea that we're selling passports. That's going to be a unique theme. San Diego's obviously different than Chicago, and it's going to have things that are very unique to San Diego, as an example. But we're going to bring the element, so it gives fans a reason to collect the items here. There may be some similarities as we go to San Diego. You can get your passport stamped. Just an additional way to collect and follow us on this journey. You'll see the same thing in New York too.

What is your personal, shoot-for-the-moon license that you would love to collaborate with?

Oh, it's an easy one for me. It's Nintendo. I grew up with that. I love it. I still play the Switch way too much, but that's one that we don't have. There's such great characters. I'd love to see that in our portfolios someday.

May is right around the corner and that means families around the world will start making their summer plans, with Universal Orlando Resort officially unveiling today a number of reasons why it will be a go-to destination for fans around the world. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are expanding their roles as global soccer moguls!

It's being reported that Reynolds and McElhenney's R.R. McReynolds Company have bought a stake in Club Necaxa, the central Mexican soccer club which also has actress Eva Longoria is one of its owners. Longoria reportedly brought in Reynolds and McElhenney as partners - as well as investors Al Tylis and Sam Porter, with the overall goal of growing Necaxa's profile as a brand and standing within the league.

Reynolds and McElhenney surprised many fans when they bought a stake in the UK soccer club Wrexham AFC. The Deadpool movie star (Reynolds) and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia creator (McElhenney) not only built up Wrexham's club - they also captured the team's journey from bottom-barrel players to rank-climbing hopefuls in an FX docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham. That series made Wrexham AFC and the town where they reside into international stars; combined with the personnel changes that were made within the team, Wrexham has become a real-life success story, with the team climbing out of the fifth tier of the English Football League (EFL) with to promotions, first to EFL League Two (2022-2023), and as of this month (April 2024) they were promoted to EFL League One. That puts Wrexham AFC just one more league promotion away (EFL Championship) from reaching the top-tier Premier League. The Welcome to Wrexham TV series took home 5 Emmy Awards last year - that unprecedented success has cemented Reynolds and McElhenney as serious power players in the sports entertainment field.

Necaxa is currently part of Liga MX (or Liga BBVA MX), the top division in Mexican professional soccer. In addition to Longoria, Reynolds, and McElhenney, Necaxa has had other celebrity owners, including former NBA star Shawn Marion, model Kate Upton, MLB player Justin Verlander, and former German soccer player Mesut ?zil. Liga MX is the most-watched soccer league in the US (it is noted "by wide margin"), and could be another pivotal move for R.R. McReynolds, in terms of global reach, and brand presence within one of the biggest global sports leagues there is.

There are no current confirmed plans for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to launch another docuseries for Club Necaxa like they did Wrexham AFC. However, its hard to imagine the pair being brought in by Longoria and co. and not having their proven skill with mixing TV entertainment and real sports league strategy to create a globally-famous team. The new John Krasinski movie IF continues its unique marketing campaign with a new 'behind-the-imaginary-scenes featurette, which you can watch below!

Starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Krasinski, the ensemble cast IF features many of the filmmakers' real-life friends, including Steve Carell (The Office) as Blue, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) as Blossom, and late Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman) as Lewis, with Fiona Shaw (the Harry Potter films) and Alan Kim (Minari) among the human cast. IF also features the voices of Emily Blunt, Blake Lively, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Maya Rudolph, Bradley Cooper, Jon Stewart, Sam Rockwell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Awkwafina, Amy Schumer, Richard Jenkins, Keegan Michael Key, Matthew Rhys, Christopher Meloni, and Krasinski as different kinds of IFs.

That's the main focus of this new featurette: showing the lineup of stars in the recording booth, creating their individual IF characters. That includes some of the last footage of the late Louis Gossett Jr., in one of his final performances, which warms the heart to see. It's also a very effective introduction to the litany of characters that IF will introduce to viewers - and while seeing all the big names involved listed on a cast sheet is impressive, seeing them all in a montage is undeniably a major draw for the film.

What is IF about?

As per the synopsis for IF:

From writer and director John Krasinski, IF is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone's imaginary friends -- and what she does with that superpower -- as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids. IF stars Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, and the voices of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr. and Steve Carell alongside many more as the wonderfully unique characters that reflect the incredible power of a child's imagination.

"I figured I needed to make a movie for my kids. Seeing as though Quiet Place is like PG-40 in our house -- they won't see Quiet Place till they're 40 -- I figured I should make one for them," Krasinski told EW. "I was so enamored by the world that my kids were going to by themselves. They were off on their own and clearly deep in imagination, whether it was a game, whether it was painting, whether it was doing art, all this stuff. They went into this locked-in place that I wish I could have visited."

"Ulterior Motives" -- alternately known as "Everyone Knows That" -- has been identified after years of effort by dozens of internet sleuths. A clip from the song was originally uploaded to WatZatSong (a site that helps fans identify songs when apps like Shazam fail) in 2021, and went unidentified until this weekend. During that time, it attracted the attention of online communities of lost media searchers and "lostwave" enthusiasts, who seek to find or identify missing or unattributed songs. The song and the search around it even attracted mainstream media attention, getting written up in The Guardian and Rolling Stone, but it was two Redditors who finally found it.

The song, as it turns out, was by filmmakers and composers Christopher Saint Booth and Philip Adrian Booth. As far as we can tell now, it first appeared in Angels of Passion, a 1986 adult film from CB Productions and director Jerome Bronson.

"Well today, my mind has officially been blown," Christopher Saint Booth posted to Instagram after learning about the years-long search. "WOW!"

His post included a famous photo of a pink Nextplay boombox in a room filled with pink cushions and pillows. While it wasn't posted with the original request for information about "Ulterior Motives," it quickly became associated with the song because it just "felt" right to people. One YouTuber already took it upon themselves to play "Ulterior Motives" on an identical pink Nextplay boombox and share it with the internet.

The original uploader on WhatZatSong was a user named Carl92. He has not yet responded to the discovery (and may not, because the realization that it appeared in an adult movie has made him the butt of a thousand jokes). It was eventually discovered by Redditors u/One-Truth-5867 and u/south_pole_ball, who were operating on a hunch that it was a song by the Booth brothers. "One Truth" has been posting actively since the discovery went public, and promised to do an AMA-style post on the "Everyone Knows That" subreddit soon to discuss the process of finding the song.

There doesn't appear to be any official release for Angels of Passion, but it has been archived on at least one adult website, and the link has been circulating on Reddit and Discord since it was discovered.

The Booths score for TV and film, with clients that include Syfy, Sony, and Prime Video. They make horror movies that appear on Prime Video and Tubi. ComicBook.com reached out to them for comment, but we have not yet received a comment. Given how many inquiries One Truth says they have received, it's probably safe to assume the Booth brothers are equally swamped. Fans have been trying to convince them to release the song commercially, like what happened when a pair of unidentified songs from King of the Hill were found last year.

One Piece's anime has introduced fans to Dr. Vegapunk and his satellite personas with its adaptation of the Egghead Arc, and one awesome cosplay is helping to shed more light on the "Evil" Vegapunk, Lilith! One Piece: Egghead Arc officially kicked off the first major arc of the Final Saga for Eiichiro Oda's long running franchise, and the anime started out earlier this year by revealing that Luffy and the Straw Hats' next major island was the home of the famous Dr. Vegapunk's mysterious futuristic island laboratory. As fans have gotten to see its technology, they have also noticed how the scientist has gotten some bad attention from the World Government.

Making things even more complicated in this regard was Vegapunk himself as he explained that he's had so many ideas, developments, and experiments that he needed to separate himself across several different personas that would handle different tasks. Each was assigned their own kind of personality like Lilith, who was deemed to be the "Evil" Dr. Vegapunk that served as security and salvage around the island. This was the first Dr. Vegapunk fans were first introduced to, and it's this satellite that has been brought to life in an awesome way from artist kappy_w on TikTok. Check it out:

In other snack news, Sprite is introducing their coldest flavor yet. Earlier this week the Coca-Cola Company announced the debut of a new seasonal flavor, Sprite Chill. The flavor is not only set to be a new twist on the iconic soft drink with a cherry-lime flavor, but it also contains a proprietary blend of cooling agents that deliver a cooling sensation as you drink it.

"When people think about Sprite, they think about cut-through refreshment, Kate Schaufelberger, Brand Director, Sprite, said. "With Sprite Chill, we're doubling down on these signature intrinsics while continuing our legacy of strategic flavor innovation and quenching fans' thirst for variety and the exclusive badge value associated with trying and sharing limited-time-only beverages and experiences."

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead fans are still waiting on news of a potential anime continuation, and one awesome cosplay is helping to put the spotlight on one of its mainstays, Beatrix Amerhauser! Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead was one of the biggest anime releases of 2023 overall, and the anime ended up having issues throughout its run as production meant a number of delays had hit its schedule. Meaning that the anime itself didn't actually end its first season until late December last year with the final few episodes releasing all at once to round out the final moments of the first season.

But even with all of the delays and issues behind the scenes, there were still many fans who loved Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead's anime. It's because of the strength of its central cast of characters that Akira Tendo meets throughout his journey of trying to live his best life in the zombie apocalypse. On that journey they meet Beatrix Amerhauser, a foreign tourist who traveled to Japan in order to see its historical sights, and she ends up being a crucial part of the crew. Where to Find Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead

If you wanted to check out the series for yourself, you can find Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead's debut anime season now streaming with Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix, and airing weekly as part of Adult Swim's Toonami programming block. There has yet to be any announcement of a potential Season 2 as of the time of this publication, unfortunately, but that also means now is the best time to actually check out the manga release with the Viz Manga app if you wanted to see what happens after the anime's finale (where the three most recent chapters are available to read completely for free).

The live-action Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead movie is streaming with Netflix as well if you wanted the anime in a completely different way too. As for what to expect from the story, Viz Media teases Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead as such, "After spending years slaving away for a soul-crushing company, Akira's life has lost its luster. He lives in a trash-filled apartment, his pay is abysmal, and he can't even muster up the nerve to confess his love to his beautiful co-worker. But when a zombie apocalypse ravages his town, it gives him the push he needs to live for himself. Now Akira's on a mission to complete all 100 items on his bucket list before he...well, kicks the bucket."

It would seem that The X-Files star Gillian Anderson remembers her time as FBI Special Agent Dana Scully all too well -- and had a little bit of fun getting in on the latest Taylor Swift-inspired meme about it, too. On Friday, Anderson took to social media to pay tribute to her time as Scully in the iconic sci-fi series by sharing her take on a trending meme incorporating a lyric from Swift's latest studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, with a photo.

In the post, Anderson quoted the song "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" with the line "you wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me," and then shared an image of Scully and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) from The X-Files. You can check it out for yourself below.

In case you aren't a Swiftie or otherwise just don't quite get the meme, here's the context. The song "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" is a reflection on the experiences of a young star and public perception and how that shapes a person. The full line is particularly sharp when it comes to calling out people's lack of perspective, "I wanna snarl and show you just how disturbed this has made me/you wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me". For fans and those on social media, the second part of that lyric has become a bit of a viral meme, with fans sharing it alongside images of their own, unconventional formative experiences and situations.

Will Gillian Anderson Return For Ryan Coogler's The X-Files Reboot?

While The X-Files may have been Anderson's "asylum" in terms of the popular Swift meme, it sounds like the actor may not be opposed to revisiting it. Earlier this month, Anderson said that while she's generally been pretty adamant about not going back to that world after Season 11 in 2018, with Ryan Coogler developing a new take on the material, she is at least humoring the idea.

"It's so funny because, for most of my life, since I finished The X-Files, every interview I do, people have asked, and the answer has always been, 'Nope. Not gonna happen.'" Anderson said. "Now, Ryan Coogler, who's the director of Black Panther, a brilliant, brilliant director, has approached Chris Carter to say that he wants to do a take on it. I can't think of a better way around for a reboot to happen, I think he's a bit of a genius."

She added, "There's a chance it will happen. Whether I am involved in it is a whole other thing, but in his hands ... But I am not saying no, because I think he's really cool, and I think if he did it, it will be done incredibly well, and maybe I'll pop in for a little something' somethin'."

Disney's Pixar Fest is rolling at both Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure. Fans visiting either location have been surprised to see Turning Red's 4*Town bringing down the house during Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration. The fan-favorite recent release features some catchy songs by the fictional boyband and they are being performed live during these parades at the park. On a float with multiple characters from Turning Red, all the boys are getting the crowd hype to "Nobody Like U" and "U Know What's Up!" It's a fun nod to a recent Disney release despite all the love for longstanding fan-favorites.

4*Town is composed of Robaire, Tae Young, Jesse, Aaron z and Aaron T. The fictional band is brought to life by the voices of Jordan Fisher, Josh Levi, Finneas, Topher Ngo, and Grayson Villanueva in Turning Red. Billie Eilish and Finneas helped pen the songs that power the Pixar favorite. During the virtual press conference for the movie, director Domee Chi dished on why she chose to focus on the boyband aesthetic.

"I feel like boy bands are often ridiculed by media, as most things that teen girls are obsessed with are," Domee Shi told the assembled press. "And with this movie, we really wanted to pay tribute to this cultural phenomenon and not just make fun of it. We make fun of it a little bit, but we also honor it as well. So many girls' and boys' lives were shaped by their very first musical obsessions, and boy bands represent, for many girls, their first foray into adolescence, into music, fashion, pop culture. They offer a safe, soft, and non-threatening introduction to subjects like love and relationships."

How Did 4*Town Come To Be?

Turning Red's boyband might have worked their way into the hearts of a lot of Pixar fans around the world. But, it seemed like an interesting choice and a bit of a risk when the movie released. Domee She knew that she wanted to stay true to the late 90s/early 2000s vibes of Mei's story. Talking to Thrillest about her inspirations, the director explained that Toronto's pop music scene at the turn of the millennium had to make it into Turning Red somehow. Y2K nostalgia now rules the roost, so it wasn't hard for fans to take the plunge into 4*Town mania just like the girls.

"But I think the name 4*TOWN was probably a combination of O-Town, and then I don't even know if most people know that there was this Toronto boy band called b4-4 I think only Toronto tweens knew about. I think it's like O-Town and b4-4 merged together with *NSYNC to create 4*TOWN," she explained durign the interview. "I looked up b4-4 recently because I haven't heard their songs in forever. The lyrics are so raunchy, but it's very teeny bopper-y and cute. One of their songs is called 'Get Down' and literally the chorus is, 'If you get down on me, I'll get down on you.' I just remember belting that out and my mom being, 'What are you saying?'"

Audible is teaming with J.K. Rowling to launch a new series of audio productions based on the seven Harry Potter novels. Debuting exclusively on the platform, Audible's productions will feature full-cast audio, with reportedly hundreds of actors playing the parts of characters across the series. The plan is evocative of Audible's successful adaptations of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. There hasn't been any cast announced yet -- that will come soon, if the history of similar projects is any indication -- except to acknowledge that the project won't be tied to the existing Harry Potter film franchise, so none of those actors are expected to reprise their roles.

It's safe to assume it will also not be tied to Warner Bros.' upcoming TV adaptation of the fantasy series, which has not yet been cast or entered production. That series, set to air on HBO and Max, is expected to be a hyper-detailed adaptation of the series.

"Beloved the world over, Harry Potter stories have captivated and enchanted fans of all ages for nearly three decades," Audible CEO Bob Carrigan told Variety in a statement. "With millions upon millions of Audible listeners devouring Harry Potter at an astonishing rate, we are thrilled about the opportunity to be part of this next chapter -- delighting new and old fans alike with a reinvigorated listening experience that Audible is expertly positioned to create."

They have released a trailer for the adaptations, which you can see below:

"We are delighted to be collaborating with Audible on what will be a groundbreaking audio edition of the beloved Harry Potter stories," added Neil Blair, chairman of Pottermore Publishing. "J.K. Rowling's storytelling lends itself perfectly to the application of new audiobook technologies, and we're certain this sophisticated, immersive audio experience will not only add a new listening dimension for existing fans but will introduce a whole new generation of listeners to the wizarding world."

While some fans may be disappointed by the movie cast not being invited to return, it's worth remembering that at this point they are all in their thirties, and voicing schoolchildren is likely not a great fit for any of them.

Besides the standard audiobooks that have been on the market for years, Audible plays host to a number of Harry Potter tie-in titles, all with celebrity narrators. Those include The Tales of Beedle the Bard performed by Jude Law; Harry Potter: A History of Magic performed by Natalie Dormer; Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them performed by Eddie Redmayne; and Quidditch Through the Ages performed by Andrew Lincoln.

The Harry Potter full-cast audiobooks are set to debut in late 2025 on Audible.

Knuckles Review

In his review of Knuckles, ComicBook.com's Marc Deschamps wrote:

Despite some small issues I had with the show, I found Knuckles to be a delightful new chapter in the ongoing Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe. What could have been a drawn out movie with a lower budget is instead an absurdly hilarious adventure that adds more depth to a pair of established characters. The music's great, and Adam Pally and Idris Elba might have better chemistry than we even saw between Ben Schwartz and James Marsden. There are bound to be some Sega fans disappointed that the show doesn't feature a bigger threat, or more of a presence from Sonic and friends. We should get both of those things in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 though, and I'm happy that we got something weird and unique to flesh out this universe. Knuckles is not going to be the Sega adaptation anyone is expecting, but it's a wild ride worth taking, especially for fans of the Sonic films.

Lil Dicky and Busta Rhymes star in a new Dave & Busters commercial. The rapping duo is joined by Buster Douglas as well. So, it's just a surreal scene all the way around. Dave & Busters is debuting their new "knockout" 50% food deal. (Who better to advertise a knockout than the man who famously KO'd Mike Tyson more than 30 years ago.) At any rate, Ryan Reynolds' Maximum Effort brought Rhymes and Dave Burd together to film this ad, and just like a lot of their recent efforts, it has a bit of charm to it.

"Dave & Buster's has always been about great food plus friendly competition, so what better way than a play on the ultimate showdown of our own two names in celebration of slashing 50% off food for new and existing D&B Rewards Members," Megan Tobin, Chief Marketing Officer for Dave & Buster's told AdAge. "Busta Rhymes and Dave Burd (Lil Dicky) bring joy to so many people through their music and art so we knew they would bring a perfect level of fun to the ads--and they more than delivered."

Will There Be A Dave Season 4?

Fans have seen a lot of Dave Burd over on FXX. Dave has been a fan-favorite over the course of its run on the network. Some viewers have been wondering if a Season 4 could be in the cards. FX hasn't said too much about it. But, Burd did talk to Deadline about their current hiatus and stressed that the show has not been cancelled at this time.

"Making Dave has been and continues to be a dream come true," Burd explained. "But there are other creative ventures that I am dying to pursue as well. For the past 5 years, I've poured every fiber of my being into the show, and after three amazing seasons, this feels like a good time to press pause to give myself the bandwidth to do some of the other things I have always wanted to do. I am beyond excited about what I have planned for the future and am enormously appreciative of FX for their continued partnership."

An FX spokesperson also offered, "After some back and forth, there are no current plans for a fourth season of Dave right now, as Dave Burd has decided to take an extended break to focus on music and other ventures. That does not rule out the possibility of doing something in the future. We love the show and sincerely appreciate the creative excellence Dave, Jeff Schaffer, the cast and crew delivered with every episode. We are excited that our partnership with Dave will continue as he develops future projects for us through his overall production deal with FXP."

Earlier this week, the Coca-Cola Company announced that they are debuting a new seasonal flavor, Sprite Chill, that is not only set to be new twist on the iconic soft drink with a cherry-lime flavor, but also contains a proprietary blend of cooling agent that delivers a cooling sensation as you drink it.

The new Sprite Chill, and Sprite Chill Zero Sugar, will be available in North America through July (while supplies last). The flavor is just the latest limited time offering from Sprite, which has previously included Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry and Sprite Lymonade Legacy.

In other beverage news, Dr Pepper recently announced the launch of their own limited time flavor for the summer, Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut. The new flavor will hit stores beginning May 1st and will be available through the end of July. Per Dr Pepper, the new Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut is available in both regular and Zero Sugar and will be sold in 12 oz 12 packs and in 20 oz bottles. It's described as the perfect combination of the original 23 Dr Pepper flavors with layers of tropical coconut flavor with a delicious creamy finish. The drink is also the only coconut cream flavored dark soda on the market.

JerrySeinfeld is launching his feature-film directorial debut with Netflix's Unfrosted - but don't expect it to be a Seinfeld show reunion.

In a new interview with ComicBook.com during the press junket for Unfrosted, Jerry Seinfeld explained why he felt it was best to take on this project without getting comedic aid from former Seinfeld cast members like Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, or Wayne Knight.

"Yes there were some conversations," Seinfeld admitted. "But we didn't want... people to think it was a Seinfeld reunion. We thought it might be distracting."

Seinfeld has not lost its popularity, 35 years after it first hit TV screens. The show has been running in syndication since it ended in 1998, and it has conquered each new form of media that has come along since then. The DVD releases were major cultural events that brought the stars back together, and Seinfeld has now become premium-level content for streaming services.

The only thing that Seinfeld hasn't done yet is a modern reunion event, revival or reboot. That's pretty incredible since the four principal cast members are all still alive, with Seinfeld, Louis-Dreyfus and Alexander still working in show business to varying degrees. So, as Jerry Seinfeld rightly points out, having them get together again in Unfrosted would be a potentially distracting event.

What Is Netflix's Unfrosted About?

Unfrosted looks back at the year 1963, when breakfast food giants Kellogg's and Post were locked into their own kind of arms race: the race to create a breakfast pastry that could last on story shelves. When Post CEO Majorie Post (Amy Schumer) finally unlocks a process for dehydrating and storing food products. That breakthrough caused Kellog's head Bob Cabana (Jerry Seinfeld) to put together his own dream team of industry leaders (Jack LaLanne, Chef Boyardee, others) and scientists to pioneer their own dehydration and storage process that will revolutionize breakfast foods, and send both companies barrelling toward the invention of... the Pop-Tart.

In Seinfeld's mind, Unfrosted will go beyond a simple biopic to be a "tale of ambition, betrayal, sugar, and menacing milkmen."
