Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons grated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  • In large bowl, stir together all ingredients. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight. Sauce will be very thick, but will thin out when warm chicken is added to it.
  • Add cooked chicken wings to bowl and toss until well combined.

Notes

  • It’s tempting to use jarred or tube minced garlic since it’s so easy, but I really encourage you to grate your own fresh garlic for this sauce. It makes a HUGE difference in flavor.
  • The better quality Parmesan cheese you buy, the better the sauce will taste. Skip the stuff in the green can and buy fresh Parmesan if you can.
  • Go beyond wings! Use this sauce to brush over grilled or roasted chicken breasts, legs, or thighs.
  • This is enough sauce for about 3 pounds of wings.
